| I use You Need a Budget. Unfortunately they have switched to an online tool with a monthly fee. I still use the classic app for the Mac
Positives: Kind of an envelope budgeting tool Negatives: The Mac version of the app will be supported for a limited time in favor of the web-based tool. The latter can download info from your bank/credit union

| I use Mint and the budget tracker on my USAA account. Both of these do a good job of tracking my spending by category and help me track my spending habits in order to improve for the future. | |

| Mint!! Mint is fantastic. Also a simple one but a goodie: the simple Calculator app. I whip it out a few times a week or even a few times a day just for everyday financial needs. My roommate uses You Need a Budget and really likes it.
App Name: Mint Purpose: Budgeting, bill pay, expense tracking, goal setting Positives: Great charts and graphs, gives out very useful and practical tips Negatives: There isn't a way to tell the app that an expense is unusual or a one-time deal. It just folds the outlier in to the data, which really throws off averages.

App name: BoA purpose: track my day to day spending. pros:The app also includes important features like ordering new checks, freezing/ your account and ordering a new card when lost, and quick access to account and routing numbers.
